Just Another Tuesday-The Wisdom of Websites

Rainy days never get me down

“You pray for rain; you gotta deal with the mud too. That’s a part of it.” –Denzel Washington

It’s the last day of summer, and it’s rained all day, but without the typical humidity that follows like a shadow. It’s been positively cool at my house, both inside and out.
My website threw out the last few changes I’ve spent days making. Half of my book links are broken, and my cat decided that my to-do list is the best place to sleep the afternoon away.
Hypnotized by tutorials, I’ve spent most of my time cobbling three forms of software to work together to carry out one task. And yet, despite the rainy day vibes, I’m not discouraged.
Something about the two steps forward and one step back rhythm is still exciting. I’m building something incredible, something I never thought I’d ever do for myself. I’m building a career.
Rainy days are great for reflection and focus. Sooner or later, I’ll figure out how to make my website sing, but for now, I’ll be content with every drip of progress, one step closer to the sunshine.

” I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.” –Maya Angelou
